Through property owner education, effective mitigation, and community involvement, we protect lives and property by implementing strategies that create fire-adapted landscapes and reduce wildfire risk. Working with our neighbors is key to our success. Our motto is three-fold to PREPARE our properties to lessen the risks of wildfire; PREVENT the loss of life and property; and to PRESERVE fire-resilient landscapes for future generations.
We all expect the firefighters to respond when the fire happens but we each have a larger role to prepare our homes and properties before the fires occur. Our local fire departments are one of our key partners. We encourage you to support them in fulfilling their mission of protection.
