The wildland-urban interface (WUI) is the area where houses and wildland vegetation meet or intermingle, and where wildfire problems are most pronounced. AND


Did you know?

According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, 94 percent of the growth in Kendall County is in the wildland urban interface.


The Hill Country Fire Coalition of Texas' mission involves teaching neighbors about wildfire risks and how to reduce them. Removing flammable debris that could fuel a wildfire is just one way to reduce your risk.
